Learning Leap …because better futures begin with learning.

This space is an invitation to dialogue and connection in support of decolonization. The other half of the conversation is you as the viewer and the context and interests you bring. We are all connected – I look forward to connecting further with you.

Indigenous Education: A Call to Action

The most recent content on this site, which you will find at the top of each section, comes from my learning in the first two courses of an MEd Interdisciplinary Studies program at University of Calgary, with my first year and planned thesis grounded in the Indigenous Education: A Call to Action program.

To understand who I am in this work, see the Self & Relations page, but to give you a general idea to begin, I am of settler ancestry and my commitment to the work of decolonization toward reconciliation is absolute and lifelong. However, I also know that I am just one temporary star in the vast galaxies of relationships over time that will bring about change. The topic diagram below gives an idea of how I see the themes in relation to each other, but our dialogue will certainly bring new constellations of meaning.

For anyone who may be interested in my academic work associated with the themes on this site, please contact me via email, as I am happy to share the following documents:

  • Learning Task 1 – Self-in-relation – who are you in the world?
  • Learning Task 2 – Community partner profiles – who might be interested in collaborating with you?
  • Learning Task 3 – Visual essay – what does decolonization mean to you?
  • Learning Task 4 – Repsonse-ability podcast – what is your relationship with the text?
  • Learning Task 5 – Reflecting through Métissage – how is Métissage a transformative and decolonizing process?
